Is it proper grammar to say "He got a F on his test" or "He got an F on his test"? (Since the letter F is pronounced "ef" as if it starts with E, which is a vowel)

What about "I just bought a one-piece swimsuit today" versus "I just bought an one-piece swimsuit today"?

This has always stumped me on essays and I have tried looking it up in the MLA handbook to no avail.

I'm in college and i hate it so much. I have been in school on and off for 6 years. I'm getting to the point and just drop out. I'm suppose to graduate in december 2007, but by looking at my grades, thats a long shot. Its hard trying to have a full time job and work your classes around it. When i find a job, they are at the wrong times. Should i just give up on school and get a full time job and move on with my life. I will be 30 in a few years and I feel that I'm getting no where. Stressed and depressed

When I was in highschool I did a declamation piece titled 'Parricide' it was about a child who had murdered his/her parents, I think if I remember correctly there were scissors and possibly poison involved. I found that piece in one of my reference books. I am to look for that piece now and couldn't find it. My questions are: does anyone have that piece and who wrote it? Thanks.

Read this now and tell me what you feel. This has an odd part to it that you can find if you look good. It's very tiny, for real, but I know you can do it. It has to do with word use. Can you find it?

As much as I long for there to be another solution
I fear that yours is the only one that will work.
Hamlet is smart and so driven for revenge
Upon the one responsible for his father’s death.
He knows it is you who killed him, and is suspicious of my involvement.
It kills me to know that my own son sees me capable of such.
I would rather my son I love to die loving me than thinking me a monster but I beg you Claudius, there must be some other way for us to live harmoniously and leave Hamlet unharmed.

With Hamlet, the son of your husband and my brother you helped to kill slaughtered we will both be free from the shackles of our past. We can start our life together, Gertrude I killed for you. Do not weep for the son who does not love you. Stay together, do not fall apart. We are in this together and Hamlet will never let us be happy. Do not see this as a betrayal to your son, rather a token of your devotion to me, the man who loves you more than anyone.

Thank you so much!

Please help me please. I need a clear step-by-step explanation on a few problems that I'm stuck on. Thank you!!!!

1) Solve for x in terms of a and b: (a^2 – 2a^2b^2 + b^4)^(x-1) = (a - b)^(2x)(a + b)^(-2)

2) Given that 5^ [log (base 5)][(log (base2) log(base3) log (base4) x = log (base squareoot5 – 2) (9 – 4squareroot5) and 1/i(as in imaginary i)log^[log(base e)log(base2)y] = pi. Evaluate log(base 2) (x/y). (HINT: e^(pi (imaginary i)) = -1

3) Solve for x: (5 squareroot2 x) ^ [(log (base4)) (5 squareroot2 x)] = 625 x ^ 4

4) Solve for x: log(base8)(1 - x) + (10log(base32)x) / (log(base8) 512) – log (base2)e^[ln(1/x+1)] / 243^(1/3) = cuberoot(64/27)

Well this is what happened.(I'm in 10th grade by the way) I did a research project on a author and my friend did it on the same author.(We have different teachers and he sent his to turnitin.com and I'm afraid I might have to do the same thing) I did my project and he didn't so I let him copy mine. He didn't get caught yet but now I'm afraid they're gonna catch him soon. I need to know whats gonna happen to me and him? Will they go easier on me or worse?

I believe in helping them, for example showing how to get one or two of their math answers. But just giving the answers away? That just guarantees that in the year 2050, when these students are running things, they won't be able to figure out what 20% of 100. So, they'll up the taxes to 50% because that is something that they can do. Anybody else think that this is just getting out of hand?
