What is incorrect with the below sentence? Something seems wrong but I can't pin point it.

"Meanwhile, illegal music trading continues throughout the internet, with the music industry always seemingly one step behind the common College student; and as long as the internet is in operation, music will continue to be traded among music lovers, just as older generations would make mix tapes and share them with friends."

I have a friend in COLLEGE and she thinks 'gonna' is a word and it blew her mind that it was colloquial (yeah I had to explain what that meant) for "going to" and that she should not use the word "gonna" in her descriptive essay (and, no, she was not using the word as part of a dialog)

I am at the moment a student at City College, and am uncertain about transferring to Hunter College. Yet City College has not been my first college; one year past, I attended Queens College but had to change residence to Manhattan; I then decided not to continue my studies at Queens because of its great distance from my new home. But I must admit, I cannot stand City College: the quality of education there is terrible, in general, and the political science program (my chosen major) is not very good.

Separately, all three of the aforementioned colleges belong to the City University of New York.

Question (as posted above, but more specific): I am curious whether a third college will harm my chances concerning admission to graduate school.

i am a junior in HS and i'll be applying to colleges soon. my school doesn't do weighted grades so i have a 3.9 (4.0 being the highest you can score since there's no weighted grades). my act score is 25 which is above average i suppose.

my question is, i'm not in any activities at school, will that be bad for my application?
