Hi,
I have an associate's degree and I'm planning to take the LVN program & then the RN bridge program at Western Career College (bay area CA). After doing research and reading nurses' experiences, I'd really like to work in a clinic instead of bedside. I heard since the workload is greater at a hospital there can be more tension between workers than at a clinic. Is it harder getting a job at a clinic/doctor's office than at a hospital? Also, I want to work in pediatrics; is it possible to get your first training job in a pediatric facility? Thanks for any knowledge you might have..!

The reason why I'm considering this is that I'm already 25 years old and I dont wanna study for more than a couple of years.
But what do you think about this job? Maybe its gonna be boring as hell and its not worth it?

The Catcher in the Rye

In the novel “The Catcher in the Rye”, by J.D. Salinger. Jerome David Salinger was born on January 1, 1919. J.D. Salinger was an American author best known for the novel The Catcher in the Rye, a classic novel that was popular in 1951. If the novel would be summarized in one or two sentences it would be that a confused boy who travels to see the realities of life. The main character, Holden Caulfield, is an antagonist. The reader can quickly arrive at the conclusion by noting that Holden is a compulsive liar, often thought negatively, had no faith in god and he swore a lot. In the following paragraphs this essay is going to talk about how he lied a lot, how he dumped his problem on his sister phoebe and how he ordered a prostitute. In each one the paragraphs it will also include why it will prevent him from being a good person.

In the novel one can see that Holden was the antagonist because he lied a lot. Later he actually admitted that he was a liar stating, “I’m the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. If I’m on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and someone asks me where I’m going, I’m liable to say I’m going to the opera”. (pg 16) In this quote he admits that he is a liar and that he is proud of it too. This prevents Holden from being a good person because a good person wouldn’t lie, a good person would be a hero and one would always be honest no matter what. A hero is a person that does good deeds and prevents bad deeds from happening and also saving the world from.

Another of Holden’s antagonistic behaviors occurs when he tell his sister phoebe about topics what she should not know about at her age. Phoebe was ten years old and Holden was sixteen years old at that time and still he didn’t hesitate to tell her how miserable his life was. Holden stated that “even the couple of nice teachers on the faculty, they were phonies, too,”… (pg 168) This will affect her when she goes to school, she will believe that the school has phonies. She will also believe that the nice teachers are phonies too. Holden as her older brother told her that when she was younger. This quote means that the school is a bad place and you shouldn’t trust people especially teachers. The reason it prevents him from being a good person is because a good person wouldn’t want to tell the harsh realties of life to a young child, especially at the age of 10 years old.

Finally, Holden can be deemed an antagonist because he orders a prostitute. The following passage from the novel best supports this, “okay, I’ll send a girl up in fifteen minutes” and “hey, is she good looking?” I asked him. “I don’t want any old bag”. (pg 91) This quote means that he was ordering a prostitute and was waiting until she showed up in his room. Holden indulge himself in the company of prostitutes and he is picky too. He’s interested in good looking girls and won’t waste money on any old bags. This would prevent him from being a good person because a good person with a good heart and intensions would not order a prostitute.

This essay based in the novel “The catcher In the Rye”, discusses how Holden lied a lot, how he tells phoebe about his problems and discusses the fact that he ordered a prostitute. Holden is a bad example in which he is an antagonist. Holden was the antagonist because he lied a lot, Holden’s antagonistic behaviors occurs when he tell his sister phoebe about topics what she should not know about at her age and Holden can be deemed an antagonist because he orders a prostitute. Due to his choices and immoral behaviors, Holden is the novel’s villain.

Domestic abuse is another major contributor to real life violence.

If this doesn't make sense how can I make it make sense?
The paper is on media violence. I am trying to argue that media violence does not cause real life violence. I was trying to say that witnessing domestic violence increases that chance of real life violence but I couldn't find enough proof. Now I want to say that domestic violence causes/is/ something important to real life violence.

Hi, okay, so I really don't know how to get this question asked, but I'll try: There are three short paragraphs (you can see them right here: http://www2.bc.cc.ca.us/drosales/competing_viewpoints.htm) and I am writing a few sentences, regarding this question:

1. How does each of these (3) views see the relationship between slavery and sectional feeling?

...Okay, I guess the thing I'm trying to ask is what exactly does this question mean? How do I answer for the "sectional feeling" part?...does that mean like north and south? And even if it does, I still don't understand what I'm supposed to write about. Thanks if you have any input pointing me in the right direction. If not, it's okay, just don't answer please. But thanks again to those of you who will actually be helpful! ~I appreciate it~

I wanted to come home

I wanted to come home
While your little fists werelike the orchids yet to open
While your heart still remained soft and silken
While your eyes shone with that spirited gleam
I wanted to come home.

I did not come home
While your footsteps were keeping cadence in the wind
While your little heart was beating like a fly against the windowpane
While your laughter carried that silver's ring
I did not come home

I should have come home
While a spell of blur covered your eyes
While a gust of chilly wind put out a fading light
While a cold hand snatched you away like a kite
I should have come home.
