I am studying right now under general education and I am undeclared. I want to know if any current pediatricians could tell me what would be the best major to choose. I realize it should be one that involves applied science, but beyond that I am not sure.

As long as you have the required courses needed for medical school, you actual major doesn't really matter. I have a lot of friends that are on the medical school track and their majors vary. A lot are Biology majors, but some are also Chemistry, and Psychology majors. Medical school application review committees will look for applicants that stand out. Having a Bachelors degree that is different from the day to day Biology Pre-med degree will definitely give you a leg up.
