Domestic abuse is another major contributor to real life violence.

If this doesn't make sense how can I make it make sense?
The paper is on media violence. I am trying to argue that media violence does not cause real life violence. I was trying to say that witnessing domestic violence increases that chance of real life violence but I couldn't find enough proof. Now I want to say that domestic violence causes/is/ something important to real life violence.

Well, domestic violence is real life violence. But you could say:

There is no supportive information that real life violence is directly related to violence seen in movies or on television.

I think that Domestic abuse IS real life violence.

Perhaps what you mean to say is that by continuously being exposed to domestic abuse over a period of time will teach or lead the observer to commit that abuse or violence on someone else, even though they may not have been the victim of the abuse they observed.

Hope this helps. I would like to see your paper. Sound interesting. email oldtrailhiker@yahoo.ca
