right now im homeschooled and i like it alot, but alot of my friends want me to go back to school next year, here are my pros and cons, after u read this tell me if u think i should go back to school or not,
staying homeschooled-----
---get to go to gym alot more and get my bench and speed up for football
---ill be able to get a job next year to get a job
---straight "A's" in school(get to look up all the answers in school books)
---get my own car when im 16
----------------------------going back to school
--get to see ALL my friends
--get to play football
--easier school work
--whats ur opinion

What would be some good sources (books, videos, websites) for learning about learning? Are there any paragons of the field?

Also, is there a name for the study of learning about learning?
It's hard to find a holistic source without a more distinct word for this...

Without demanding attention, this person has a way of speaking, that draws "you" in.
The person is very, "listen to'able." (ha) That's the best I can do in relation to word I looking for.
They aren't loud or angry and may not make much eye contact.
The word is something like... "interesting," but more. It's not "approachable," cuz "your" already there.
They "naturally assume," the attention of others while engaging in simple small talk.
This person is... What? Please help!

There is a 10 year old student at my school who cannot read on grade level. He is currently reading at about a late-kindergarten level. Do some students simply not learn to read? I'm beating my head against the wall trying to figure out what to do. He is classified LD and in SpEd, so that's already taken care of. We're looking at assistive technology so that he can scan textbooks into a computer to have it read to him, and that sort of thing. We've checked his visual perception, his IQ is average, he wears glasses to see things far away. ??? I think that SOMETHING has to be wrong, but I don't know what........any ideas? He reads better when the font size is larger (he says it's because it has "more white space" :) ). A page of 12pt. text seems to "swim" when he's trying to read it. He can't seem to focus onto each individual word (but bookmarks with holes in it help some...).

Help?

Hey, I really need help on this question. I've been stuck on it for a while, and its driving me crazy.

A trough is 15ft long and 2.4ft across the top. its ends are isosceles triangles with an altitude of 1.7ft and vertex down. Water is being pumped into the trough at a rate of 2.3ft^3/min. How fast is the water level rising when the water is 1.2 ft deep?
