Your friends obviously like and respect you alot since they want to see more of you. I think you should be thankful for your friends and for the fact that you are homeschooled. (especially if you enjoy it). Will you be going to college? Maybe you could play football then. Stay put. Someday, you'll be glad you did.

This is a hard choice, and not knowing you or the school you would be attending, it is hard to answer this question. If your main reason for going back to school is to be around your friends I would say try it for a semester. If you can keep good grades and don't fall into a bad crowd you shouldn't have a problem. As for getting a job, you can get a part time one during vacations and weekends. They car part I am not quite sure I understand. School is an important part of socialization. I was on home studies the end of my senior year. There were a lot of things I chose to miss out on because I wanted to learn my way, not the way the school thought I should learn. If you don't like school, you could always go back on home studies.
I saw give it a shot. New experiences are good.

My opinion is this:
What do *you* want?
Forget what your friends want. This isn't selfish--this is being true to yourself. Although your friends may have put the consideration into your mind, what do YOU really want?
*Do you want the flexibility and the job and the better education more than you want to hang out with friends and play football?
*Or have you reached a point where you would prefer to be with your friends, play football, have easier work (although you'd have homework, so might not be able to get that job)?
(Btw, you might want to see if you'd still be able to play football at the school even if you aren't attending; it's not uncommon for homeschooled kids to be allowed into school sports programs.)
Good luck in your decision; just be true to yourself.

I feel you should remain home-schooled.
Even though you feel it is harder your education will be better. Life is tough especially if you do not have a good education.
Learning at home should be more welcome than
public schooling. There is far more peer pressures found, kids doing drugs, smoking, alcohol, gangs etc. Friends if they are your true friends will come together with you at home
or on a weekend day. Football can be played in parks during the season..join one of them with the park district. Easier school work would be a cop out excuse. I think this is my opinion
and I hope you respect and learn something from it. Whatever your choice...I do wish you the best.

Personally, I am horrified that your parents/you allow cheating for your A grades. What a sham. Your education is being jeopardized by this failure of your educators (parents or whoever) to see that you LEARN.
If you go to a public or a private school, they will soon find out if you are learn-ed or not. Your cheating will be 'caught' and you will have "egg on your face"
Start studying properly, do your work and attend either place - home school or school-school. But stop fooling yourself that you are getting educated at the moment. Grrrr.

Education is one of life's greatest privlidge and asset. First of all, I applaud the providers of your homeschooling. I can see that they truly want the very best for you.
If I were in your shoes, I would ask myself what would be of value 5 years from now. Would football and friends change your future earning potential?? Also, the reasin that (public) school is easier would definately be a red flag for me and my future.
If you are at times telling yourself "why do I need to learn this subject" in what might appear boring, from my personaly experience--I know now that there is no such thing as a boring subject. Embrace learning, as 'the more we know, the more we know we don't know" Best of luck to you and your bright future.

Hi Justin! well, in my opinion, i would tell you to go back to school. Sure, homeschooling is great but it's just not the same when you really go to school. And the fact that you get straight A's because of cheating is in fact a bad thing. I live in the Philippines and 14 years old and there are not a lot of homeschooling here. Its much much much fun if you get to go back to school and see your friends. As i always say, "Live your life, have fun, and do what you want to because life is just too short." Hope i helped! = )

Since you are homeschooled, I assume you have some religious background or instruction. I cannot express to you how important it is to put on your daily armour to recognize the enemy and defend yourself against all of the mind games going on with you.Pray about it and make your decision with the help of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 6 should help you decide your answer.
God bless
