Hello, I'm a newly-graduated teacher and I've just been posted to teach Indonesian in senior school. The trouble is, I'm not a language teacher, but they gave me the job anyway because I'm a native speaker of Indonesian. How do I go about teaching the language?

Hints and tips appreciated, as well as links to language resources and lesson plans that I can start with. School starts in 5 days...ARRRGGGHHH

i decided to home school my daughter she is a Jr in HS. I called the school to inform them and was told because i am divorced i need to bring in the divorce papers stating i have custody..i was divorced 14 yrs ago and had an amicalbe divorce and didnt have the papers. the school has since "dropped" my daughter because i did not come in and unregister her...what effect does her being "dropped" from school have. i was told it will look bad for other schools like for college...any truth to this?

Trying to find a medical mission trip that's going to Central or South America (pref. a Spanish-speaking country) in late March (e.g., Mar 18th-25th-ish, 2007). My wife is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician.. She was trying to go an a trip those dates to Central America, but those plans fell through. She's been down there before (Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico) and can speak a little Spanish. She would prefer a trip that focuses more on medicine and less on religion (or not at all). She *might* be able to trade shifts to make different dates. If anyone knows of anything going around then, please reply.

I got a freind who got 6 B's and 3C's in his gcse's. He got AAA in chemistry ,biology, mathamatics in his A levels. He has done a lot of work experience and also is very sporty. People who are in medicine will be usefull here. Would any of medical students think he has a chance in a university like southampton??

I have an e-mail pen pal from Ghana who is in need of sponsorship for his studies. I want to help him but don't even know where to start. I understand that many people would be afraid this is some sort of scam, as I was at first. However, this friend has told me he is willing to send any proof he needs to (passport papers, letters from his University, etc.) to prove he is who he says he is. He understands the difficulty of all this and knows that it may be impossible for me to find someone to help him. Any ideas on how to go about this? I don't even know where to start.
