I need a specific topic to research for my Advannce Composition Honors class. The Paper has to be at least 10 pages (including a title page) and I was wondering if any one has ideas for topics to research...

You could do a research paper on prohibition and carry it forward to today and the movement to restrict advertising of alcoholic products as well as looking into the way alcohol manufacturers have stepped up their marketing to potential younger consumers. ie... the wide range of specialty flavored drinks now available.

That all depends on what interests you. There are quite a few topics you can use.
If history is something you like you can use WW2 and given the flux of new movies on the Pacific campaign of the war (Flags of our Fathers for example) just research the makings of those movies and the historical backgrounds of those movies and you should be well on your way.
If that doesn't interest you, you can always look into the current administration and how the rise and health care has affected all of America. If sports is your thing look into the last 12-15 months of the Cleveland Browns and their rash of off the field problems. If you like music write a biography on your favorite artist or group.
The biggie on this is you have to think about what interest you and what you want to learn more about and go for it. Just type that subject into the web browser and you are well on your way to a great research paper. Good luck to you.

I definitely agree with finding something that interests you.
A interesting subject could be comparing a classic work to a contemporary work (think along the lines of when people say "a modern-day Romeo and Juliet). Many story lines interest people throughout history.

i wrote a paper a few years ago about the very unique writing style of mark twain (and other authors of the time) and how his works effected the great writers of today.
