I will be going to college in a few months. I hope to do a Master's in Mathematics and hopefully a Phd in Astronomy. I really dont see myself working in a multi-national corporation. I want a job that involves creative thinking. I heard mathemetics at college level is really abstract.

Yeah, mathematics is pretty abstract, and many have been trying to apply the knowledge to the stock market and other areas to find more predictability.

Sounds like your goal is astronomy. Skip the crazy math part and go for the stars first. If you don't, you may loose interest in what you want to do in life, and that much schooling takes away from real experience you can get in the field.
