im in AP US History, and im definitely not the best at it. the way i study now is definitely not working considering my test grades so far.

Awnser these riddles of the Absolute Monarchy
1.I visited western europe in order to copy it back home
2.I built a great palace in order to house all the nobles.that i can keep an eye on them
3.I set the characteristics of an absolute monarch. I was king of spain as well as emperor of the holy roman empire.

US students have just read the short stories"Bums in the attic" and "A smart cookie." Both are by Sandra Cisneros. Who is Sandra Cisneros? Shen is a Mexican American writer. She writes short stories and poems.

At the age of 15, Cisnero moved to a new house. She and her family moved into red house in a Puerto Rican neighborhood. There is a similar huse in The huse on Mango Street, Cisneros most famous book, It's main character is Esperanza.

Sandra Cisnero is a well-known writer. They probably have her booksat youe local library. Juan and myselfread her short story "Eleven". I enjoyed the story more than him. Esperanza reminded me of my friend Alice. She is a very strong girl.

Okay the directions are to find a clip of a music on a CD that gives an example of a figurative language and bring it on Friday.
It has to be appropriate for middle school (8th grade).

For example: Hard Days Night- "I've been working like a dog" like that. I hope you understand. I just need to find a song that has some kind of figurative language in it like a SIMILE OR METAPHOR.

Texas school and property Tax.
I am looking for school and property tax rates
From the highest to the lowest in Texas by county
I can not see why a jobless 8000 people town
Can tax even the old so hard that they sell there farm or ranch
Just to get out of here and that’s the only reson Tax is so high
And no jobs.- even the local Goverment buys from out of county
we are right on I-35 and h-22 but bigger companies will not set up here Tax is to high - I think it should be illegal what they are doing. I have a fixed intrest rate but the tax is moveing so high so fast my escrow can not keep up - I need the A Team

I mean kids are getting more ignorant. Myspace, internet, clothes, music, celebreties, and many other frivolous things are what most kids talk about these days. At school (I am 13 in 7th grade by the way) I talk to some of the kids near me. Some of them think that America is at war WITH Iraq, some think that America is bombing Isreal, they don't know what Communism is, they don't know what terrorists are. I can go on. Kids are also getting more lazier. A lot of the kids in my class are doing bad in class, not doing work, and even FAILING. I look at the kids today and think "these are our future leaders?"
