I'm not scared. I think kids these days are pretty savvy. You grew up with computers and all the electronic and tech gadgets that some of us never thought could exist when we were your age.
I wouldn't expect all 13 year olds to care about Politics or to know what's going on in the world. Lots of kids that age are still pretty self-centered. In my opinion, they still have time to be kids. They'll have enough time to deal with the problems of the world in a few more years.
And you know what? There are still many adults who think America is at war with Iraq, who think Iraq was responsible for 9/11, who don't understand the complicated relationship the US has with Israel, etc.. There are also LOTS of adults who are pretty lazy, who don't take work seriously, and who are intellectually lazy. Heck the president of the US was pretty much a goof-off in college, and look where he is now.
And guess what? Some of us adults also love clothes, music, MySpace, the internet, sports figures, etc. It's part of having a well-rounded life. You can be politically savvy, but it's good to be culturally and socially savvy too, so you will know how to relate to more people when the time comes.
It's very important to learn about the world and to be serious about school work and your future. It's also important to have fun and enjoy other things. The leaders of the world were kids once too, and all of them didn't know the status of the world at that point either. It's good to know that you think about the future, but don't be too hard on your peers. They'll come around. Have faith!

I am... Don't worry I know what you mean... and i'm not intimidated by your intelligence at your age because I was the same exact way..and I'm 18 and i still stand out....noone cares anymore...
You give not a 13 yr old...
a 19 year old a PS3 and an ipod and they are set to go...
noone worries about how America is being controlled with the economy and that we rather settle down to buying things that are hazardous to our country than actually being clean and kind to our enviorment..
Our country is lazy in general...people in foriegn countries WALK to school and make an effort to learn something...they don't care what they have to do to get an education...If you don't get good grades in Japan, you are dishonerable and won't be accepted as part of the family. It's crazy but you're absolutely right about noone caring... but what can we do? Right.
Hey and you sound like an Indigo Child... Look it up... maybe you are.. and if you are welcome to the family :)

By the sound of it, you seem to be mature for your age. I think I was too (and still am) and have similar thoughts. Just try to humor them; most people grow up and get some sense eventually. But don't expect it to happen anytime soon. I'm in college and a lot of people here still act like they're 12. I think that after college is when a lot of people 'grow up'. Some people, of course, never do.
In terms of generational problems...I wish everyone would learn more from the 'Greatest Generation' because they are leaving us quickly now.
Educate your peers where you can, but don't patronize them too much.

I guess kids got that from the media as well as their parents or peers.
It i stime for kids to start thinking and be exposed to what is really happening to the world.
Include research when browsing the net.
It is great that you are thinking what will make the future if kids of your generations are like this.
Work your way up as the new leader to come.

I totally agree with you. I am 14 and in 9th grade(almost 15). I go to my library everyday and look at the books. Half of the books they have in this 2000 sq. ft. library have never been checked out, some on biographies, etc. I see them chatting away on computers finding ways to unblock sites, etc. I am one of few students (900 students total) who care about life, education, and society. The people who don't work hard will definitely work for me if they keep this up. I admit, I play video games, watch tv, chat, and all the other things you said such as myspace & internet, but hey I keep up with the news and my schoolwork. Its good to see another student keeping up with what's going on in life. Also, half of my classmates parents' don't care about school, they are divorced and some have problems. Parents of U.S.A: Pay more attention to your children; their future will be ruined...

each and each man or woman who has ever fallen asleep in dying is in "hell" referred to as "sheol" in Hebrew and "hades" in Greek. Hell is mankind's common grave. Jesus himself replace into in hell for 3 days and alter into then resurrected by his Father. God has given us the superb promise that hell would be executed away with at his appointed time, and each and all of the ineffective now in hell have the wish of being resurrected and delivered lower back to existence. Hell is purely a temorary resting place for people who've died. (REVELATION 20:13-14) "-----dying would be not extra, neither will mourning nor outcry nor discomfort be anymore for the former issues have kicked the bucket" (REVELATION 21:13-14) evaluate this: If absolutely everyone right here in the international at last stay forever under perfect situations, that's clever that God might end using graves, memorial tombs, and so on. they are going to not be mandatory. Please examine PSALM 37:9-eleven) Heaven is rightly referred to as God's throne and is the place the Almighty is living, mutually together with his son Jesus ( King of God's heavenly government), the anointed Christians chosen to co-rule with Jesus as affiliate kings, clergymen & judges over the earth and the angels (referred to as the spirit sons of God) LOBT

In fact, they're not. You are. Not every kid out there is concerned with celebrities and fashion and what not. There are other kids out there who are responsible and concerned with schoolwork and who pay attention to the news. You and these kids are the ones who are our future leaders, not the ones obsessing over Paris Hilton's every move.

I am 13 too and I see the same thing happening. But the fact is that there isn't a "stop" and "rewind" button you can press to make things better. There isn't anything you can do but make your self a better person and try your best. YOU yourself can make a difference.
