US students have just read the short stories"Bums in the attic" and "A smart cookie." Both are by Sandra Cisneros. Who is Sandra Cisneros? Shen is a Mexican American writer. She writes short stories and poems.
At the age of 15, Cisnero moved to a new house. She and her family moved into red house in a Puerto Rican neighborhood. There is a similar huse in The huse on Mango Street, Cisneros most famous book, It's main character is Esperanza.
Sandra Cisnero is a well-known writer. They probably have her booksat youe local library. Juan and myselfread her short story "Eleven". I enjoyed the story more than him. Esperanza reminded me of my friend Alice. She is a very strong girl.

Sandra Cisneros, a Mexican-American writer and author of poems and short stories including "Burns in the Attic", "A Smart Cookie", "Esperanza Rising" and many more is very well known.
When she was 15 she ,moved to a red red house in Puerto Rico which is where she probably got the idea for her most famous book, "The house on Mango Street".
Sandra Cisnero is a very strong writer and I enjoyed reading her book(s). I especially could relate to the story "Eleven" because I have a friend named Alice who is very strong like Esperanza.
