I want to know if there is a way to refinance my student loans? I graduated in 1993 and have since consolidated my loans. I'm currently paying 9% interest on these loans. I don't know what the current rate is on student loans, but I know it's alot lower than 9%. Why can I refinance my home, my car, consolidate my credit cards, but can do nothing with my student loans?

You're probably gonna think I'm stupid for asking, but I did Twelfth Night at school and when Malvolio gets what he thinks is a love letter from Olivia he says "These be her very Cs, her Us, her Ts, and then her very Ps!" I think college should be made mandatory either 2 year or 4 year. I think there would be a lot less poverty, and welfare if college was made mandtory. Then our government should pay for tuition, books, housing (dorm) transportation (bus) and supplies, food. It sounds like it would cost a lot, but in the end all these other social programs to stop crime and pay for medicaid/foodstamps are too. I think there would be a lot less poor people, and welfare, and crimes if college was made mandatory. What do you think?

I am really interested in finding everything i can about med school, cause I think I want to go into the field. I was wondering if any med students on here, or doctors or people who are doing pre-med could give me an insight on how the schedule of a med student can be while they are in med school. Like do they have weekends and summers off , or holidays. And i think they have classes from mon-friday, may hours but im not sure. Any insight on this would help. Thanks
