I'd be prepared for any changes in the education system compared to what you're used to. You don't state the ages of your children but, depending on when their birthday falls, they could be due to start school at four years old so you need to check ahead about that so you can put their names down at local schools and buy uniforms.
These two sites give information about how the education system is set out in the Republic of Ireland:
http://www.ncca.ie/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_the_Republic_of_Ireland
You should also put their names down for nursery places, if they're young enough. In the UK, I know all children are entitled to a free nursery place in the year prior to when they are due to start primary school but I'm not sure if that's the case in Eire. A Parent and Toddlers group might be a better option since that will get you mixing with other parents in your area so both you and your children are making friends).
When you arrive and settle in, you could check out the local community centre in terms of small activity clubs that your children can join (gymnastics, soft playgrounds, Under Five clubs, etc) so they're mixing with other children and again it gives you a chance to mix too.
In terms of accent, they say children who move to a new location when they are under seven to nine are more likely to pick up the new accent so there's a little tit bit for you. But if you're worried about teasing, I doubt small children will care about such things.

They need to get the Irish accent sorted right away or they will get a beasting. My friend was beaten up in Ireland because his mum was a Catholic and his dad a Protestant so they moved to Nottingham where he got beaten up because he had an Irish accent but when he got that sorted they moved to West London where he got beaten up for having a Northen accent so he had to learn yet another new accent. He is all grown up and in his forties 6"5 and 22 stone and now he gets no trouble at all.

I quite have enjoyed the two trip journeys yet i'm undecided the Turks have totally grasped the assumption of all inclusive yet. i could be uncertain approximately taking toddlers. on the different hand the all inclusives I quite have completed in Tunisia have been a entire assessment. luxury and rest from the minute you arrive. All 3 I quite have completed have been in a Riu hotel and we are booked to fly out returned on Sunday to a distinctive Riu hotel in Port el Kantoui. I quite have stayed on the Riu El Kebir in Hammamet and the Riu Bellevue Park in Port el Kantoui. I ought to assert i come across the inns enhanced in Tunisia and the seashores are wonderful yet Turkey is a good usa. Tell them it'd be like a great big adventure :) or if they're not THAT young then tell them they can still keep in touch with friends and (somehow) they can still see them every once in a while.
Good luck! x
