Is this a good idea for an assignment for a reading class in 3rd or 4th grade?

Each month a student needs to read one chapter book in their reading level, take a test on it, fill out a worksheet about the book, and then draw a picture that has something to do with the book like drawing a scene from the book or drawing a main character. The students will have a whole month to read the book, complete the test, worksheet, and picture. There will be a rubric on how this will be graded and this is a big part of their reading grade.

Is this too much to ask for 3rd or 4th graders and if so tell me some better ideas.

Or can someone plaese give me a game,toy,weapornry,swords,mosaic,or small carvings or stautues and the history behind them so i can make an Aniceint Egyptian Project....Any of thoses theings and the history(history mean websites,info like date the artifact was found,what is was oringanally made from) behind them for an Ancient Egyptian Project.Keep in mind this is for a sixth grade project.

I have a project where we have to do a magazine made up of our own written articles on events in the last century.

What are some creative ways of doing this? The only idea i can think of is getting magazine paper and printing them on that.

I want ideas on anything to do with this project. Honnestly not just how it will look..please anything creative you can think of to incorporate into the project or the fomat of it. THANK YOU! :)

I am wondering what are the best books to study with for the LSATs. I have Kaplan' LSAT 180, but it's a very advanced book. I want something with a lot of examples and sample problems before I start using the book i already have. I'm planning on taking the test srping 2008, and I really want to do very well. any suggestions? I appreciate it, thanks

I'm going to be hosting a playgroup for children between the ages of birth to 5 years. I want to do some kind of Valentine's Day theme. At the start of the group there will be lots of toys for the kids to run around and play with, but then I need a craft, book, and some other kind of activity. The play group should be 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. It's going to be held in a gym. Any ideas for me?

I have two questions that elementary teachers can answer.

How many books do you require for your students to read a month or quarter. Do you have them do an activity on the book like draw a picture or do a book talk alongside the test that they have to take. Please tell me what grade you teach and what activity you have them do, if so, can you list some of the chapter books that your students reads.
The other question I would like to ask is in upper elementary do you read a novel as a class and do activities on it? If so what books do you read?

My exams start tomorrow, and I am wondering if anyone has some studying tips for me. What foods should I eat to aid memory? Is it helpful to exercise before studying? What can I do/eat right before the exam to give me energy and focus?

I have mid-terms starting a week from today and they go until the following Wednesday. Do you agree that we should have them? and if so should that be the only thing looked at for graduation? For example: In florida if you do not pass the 10th grade FCAT you do not graduate with a high school diploma no matter what your grades are.

I am applying to Mercersburg Academy. Mercersburg is a prestigious, private boarding school. The acceptance rate is around 35%. My grandfather, great-uncle, and aunt have all attended. I have started writing my essay for NYU college app. however I'm stuck & I don't know how I should continue this. Hi. 3.7 gpa unweighted and 3.8 gpa weighted. I calculated only my sophmore and junior year. 1900 on my SAT . 150 hours of community service .
