If I were to drop out and get a GED then go to a state college, would that be a stupid thing?Would it come back to kick me in the ***? or if i work my *** off in college does not having a hogh school diploma really matter in the long run?

My boyfriend went to med. school for the first year, and did really well. He wasn't sure it was right for him though and asked for a leave of absence just for a few months, which they granted him. He did not return but worked and travelled for the past 3 years.

Is there any chance he will be allowed back in to resume his 2nd year? Would they make him retake his MCATs or reapply?

Any advice?

Okay,I live in the small town of Lowry.We have only one school to pick from other then the Christian School that they already attend!My problem is that this school does not have all Certified teachers!They work in paces and sit in a little office like seat and get in trouble if they turn arround to stretch.K-12 are all the same!The school here is racist! My eldest son is half mexican and where I live there arent many other hispanics around.He suffered!He was beat up and came home with bruised ribs,and this was grade K!I love my children and I cant just move!We live on a farm and we have alot of things to learn even from here!I do have more reasons for wanting to take them out then the reason I provided.And because we only have 32 kids in our small school I know that there is only one certified teacher.They really dont teach ,the kids have paces.I use to volunteer also!!One thing is for sure I do have back up from my husband and I do not have to quit any job!

Why is it when some parents of a home schooler or public schooler say that the other always "hates" the other? (If you know what I mean).
But to me it seems like it's the parents are the ones "hating each other", the kids are the ones who seem to get along fine.

Shouldn't us parents learn a bit form our kids and get along?

I have to do an important presentation on Monday, and even though i have been on a training course, I am still really nervous. I have done tons of presentations but I am not sure this helps and I am already having sleepless nights about it. I will be prepared but I am getting very uptight, please advise!! This is to win some work which is really important to our business so I need to come across as very savvy and in the know, which I cant when under pressure.

I work full time as a teacher, and I have been approached by a family to "homeschool" their son who cannot attend school due to an illness. My normal tutoring rate is 50 an hour, and they want me to work three hours a day. What would be reasonable to charge them? The boy is in 7th grade.
