It's really not that hard to tell the difference between to, and too

Or their, there, they're

Have teachers stopped teaching spelling? And besides spelling, there's usage: why do people have such a hard time with infer and imply? Or the really tough one, affect and effect.

Actually, they're not hard at all - I just don't think teachers are teaching these anymore, and why not?

Well, not exactly "right" but I guess I just wanted an opinin on this... So I'm only a freshman in high school, almost 15, but my parents (mostly just my mom) talk to me a lot about thinking about college and taking the right classes now to go to a good school and is putting some pressure on me to go to a really good school. I do want to go to Columbia actually but it's reeeally expensive, like $32,000 per year. And my parents never started saving for college!!! Isn't it a parents job to prepare their children for life as an adult, when they're no longer living with their parents? Whenever I bring that up, the subject of starting a college fund, they get all mad and tell me to stop telling them how to be parents. I don't get it!!! They tell me to thing about college, and when I do and I try to get them to start a fund (though it's too late now to really save any money) they get mad! What do you think? What should I do??

like the quiet hard working student...seated front centre in the classroom...

I was the one that would ALWAYS get into trouble...b/c I just wouldn't stop talking...
the teacher didn't know where to move me...b/c I'd talk to everyone...she would put me in the back of the class...all alone...lol....or next to her desk
and in grade 9...the teacher taped me to my chair...b/c I'd walk around the class talking to people xD
I'm in grade 10 now....and was switched to an all girls school 0.0 i don't talk as much now...nothing to talk about LOL!

mean = the average number of a sequence of number

total = 42 / 6 = 7

and median number is the middle or average of the middle two numbers of the sequence

Can any one tell me how much credibility the following site has?

I have no real reason to doubt it (or any reason to blindly believe it).
I find these bits of trivia interesting, yet I have no idea how much of it is blatant error.

I was told this by my english teacher, but I was not convinced. I understand how, when used as a helping verb, would not be able to end; however, when it is used otherwise, it seems it is just another intransitive verb and can be at the end.
