Can anyone tell me how I can get from MA to CA for a recruiting camp when i dont have the money to do so. Overall the trip would cost about $1000. Is there any organizations or people that would sponsor me in away or donate money?

I have to do this comparitive essay for my college english 2 class between a short story and verses 4 - 8 of the 13th chapter of First Corinthians.
I was wondering if somebody can break this down into lay terms for me:

"Charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up. Charity doth not behave itself unseemly, seeking not her own..."

Making sense out of stuff like this isn't a personal strong point- I'm much more of a math person, than english, hahah.
Any useful input is greatly appreciated.
