For AP Psychology I have to make a model brain. I have decided to use different colored jelly beans. I need a brain shaped surface so I can glue the jelly beans onto it. Any ideas?

Model brains are pretty expensive, maybe $30 a pop even for the cheezy ones. For jellybeans, you could just sculpt one out of modeling clay. As long as you got the general shape and size correct, the exact surface wouldn't matter.

I'm assuming you'll be using different color jellybeans for the different lobes and/or functional areas. If you want help with some of the more obscure neuroanatomy, let me know. I can tell you the difference between the indusium griseum and the psalterium of the fornix :-)

Around halloween time, there is usually a jello mold shaped like a brain.you could use jello for it, or you could glue the jelly beans on top of the mold.

A chia pet! Considering they make chia pets that are ACTUAL heads (well plastic shaped like heads), it'd be perfect. Even if you can't get a head shaped chia pet, you could use a different one, they are all round and head shaped!

gosh.......you could go to the discovery store I believe they have clear heads for science stuff.....you could also try hollowing out one of those styrofoam heads that wigs sit on. you might want to see if there is a pull on mask you could use as an initial mold too....at least costume stuff is out now.
