It's my senior year and I don't have as much patience as I used to. I just can't get myself to do all of my H.W.

You need to motivate yourself. Focus on the benefits of education, think about why you need to do your homework and imagine how terrible you would feel if you neglected this responsibility and had to repeat the entire senior year. You're probably tired and bored with the whole thing, but life requires us to sometimes do what we don't want to do so that later we won't have to do what we don't want to do. Would you rather continue your required work or end up standing on a corner begging for food? I'm not saying a degree is a guarantee, but it sure beats no degree. Hang in there because someday you'll be glad you did. Good luck!

Usually procrastination comes from a lack of motivation. For instance if you were told that for every homework assignment you turned in you would receive $1,000 dollars you would probably be motivated to turn in as many assignments as you could and would be asking for more.

Since that's not the case you have to examine your life and find a good reason to want to do your homework that extends beyond just turning in an assignment. For instance, if you thought about how much better of a chance you would have to get into a particular college or to get a good job if you were diligent to learn the material and turn in quality work then you might be able to develop a more productive attitude when you are given home work. Instead of just working on a paper you would be working on an ongoing project to make your future brighter. You could think about how you might be getting those thousands of dollars some time in the future because you invested in the work you are doing now when you get a better job than you would have gotten if you didn't do the work.

Break it down into smaller tasks. Do the ones you like first, to get you going, and throw in something you don't like as much every once and a while. The worse thing you can do is put off everything until the last minute...the homework will still be there, waiting for you!
