There are ways you can modify this game to be non-exclusionary, not un- but less biased and safer to play...but many Physical? Educators beleive it is healthy in its raw form. How was your experiences in that activity? (Some teachers refer to this as different names like "Prison Ball", "Ball Tag" and whatever else...

Personally, I was one of the more athletic kids. Even though I was a jerk in my youth, I did try to help less-skilled kids escape the onslaught of more dominant peers.

(I am a future P.E. and Health teacher and I don't find the original format of the game health for the educational setting at all...for many reasons, but what are yours? - for or against.)

Grandpa said "My grandson is about as many days as my son is weeks, and my grandson is as many months as I am in years. My grandson, my son and I together are 100 years. Can you tell me my age in years?”

PS: This is NOT homework!

Ok I try to be open minded but I really don't like having biased extremists teaching my classes. If you're an extremist, you're WRONG. End of story. And those conspiracy theorists are a riot. It's amazing how little qualifications you need to teach a class these days. We're supposed to be getting an education, not marijuana-induced ideals. I believe in tolerance and an open mind, but there needs to be LIMITS. We can't lose sight of common sense, morality, and touch with the real world. I believe extremists and radicals belong in the recording studio, not in the classroom.

I'm really worried about controlling the class. I also plan on substituting while I'm getting my bachelor's degree. What are some ways middle school teachers control their class? What are some ways you punish the students & get them to listen or at least pretend they are interested in class? I love this age & can't wait to start teaching, but I know how pre-teens can be. My middle child is almost 12. Thanks for your help!
