i just got nominated for NHS and i dont really have much on my profile, except for good grades...is that good enough? like if i get enough reccomendations, can i just get in by that?...well if anyone can help please reply!! it wld be helpful

You are asked to join because of your grades. Then after an evaluation by the other staff, you are invited to join.

Well I got a letter for NHS too, and I need service hours, a teacher recommendation, and I'm also required to write a couple paragraphs about myself, my strong points, and why I want to be part of the organization.

Depends on your local chapter, but the qualities of Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service are the Society's values. Usually extracurricular activities are helpful. In our school district, nominees need to get letters of recommendation from someone who knows the person outside of school.

i know you also need to have some community service hours... my brother was in nhs and was trying to explain to me what i should do to get in and that's one of the things he mentioned. and yes you definitely do need letters of recommendation, but that's all i know!
