I'm a senior who is applying early decision to northwestern. i have a 4.0 out of 4.6 gpa, and im number 4 in my class, and a 2090 on my SAT's. All of these fall in line with what northwestern is looking for, but I have one problem. Last year, i got a C in my Precalculus honors class. I feel like i should include an explanation in my application because it seems like a giant red mark. but the truth of the matter is that i slacked off in that class, just like i do in every class, so i don't have any real excuse. i'm thinking i should admit that i didn't work as hard as i couldv'e but i learned my lesson because instead of sneaking away with at least a B like i had in the past, this time i ended up with a C. but do you think this it's not wise to admit all of this?
