I know the definition of irony is when something happens that is opposite of what was expected. I don't think the following event is ironic necessarily, but I can't come up with a word that adequately describes it.

Here's the situation: recently, two police officers were killed while riding in a charity event for the widows and families of dead police officers.

Now, to me, rain on your wedding day IF you chose that location specifically because it never rains there is irony. Two people dying while riding bikes on a road can't really be totally unexpected.

And while it's tragic, so is a plane crash, or other loss of life. But in this case, they were killed while riding for dead officers! That puts a different spin on it, IMO. But is there a word or phrase or concept that adequately captures that?

My wife and I have just decided to homeschool our two daughters. They have not been in any type of school yet because of a lot of moving and other things. Thy are 6 and will be 7 in January. They know all the things that my niece the same age knows that goes to traditional school so I figure they will be ok to go to First grade. The only problem is that we have no clue how to do it. Do we get our own books and just go at it, do they have to have a certain curriculum....We just dont know. I figure there would be laws to go by and certain tests they would have to complete to pass but were stumped how to start. We live in Rock county Wisconsin. I would really appreciate it if some of the pros on here could lend me a hand in any way, though a nice step by step would be great though lol. I would be entirely greatful to anyone who could lend us a hand. Thank you.

Ok well i pretty much kind of forgot how to do basic equations so yeah, if anyone would be able to at least tell me how to do the question that would be pretty good. Like add or subtract whatever and such.

Ok from the work sheet, here are 2 of the questions.

-3x-y= -5

19x+ 9y= 10

Thanks everyone, yeah :)

I'm really interested in Architecture and I'm going through that whole Junior year phase. What should I do? I think continuing my studies would be the best thing to do. But where? Do you know of any programs that help students with all of the tough decisions of college? What college do you recommend?

Please help if you can. If you can't, I understand how you feel. -bites nails-
