I am doing a self evaluation on my presentation. How do I make these sentences much more smoother and better?

It seems like I use the first person pronoun, "I," too much.

==========================================
I was doing the presentation on how to write an application letter, cover letter, as July 31, 2006, discussing what is an application letter, why need an application letter, and how to write an effective application letter. I also provided some tips for writing effective an application letter and discussed the ABC method, of writing an application, and they are addressing and opening, body, and closing.

I never really understood the phrase, "Whoever wants it more will get it." It could be said a number of ways, but I think you get the picture. It's usually said around sporting events and areas of compition. I recently came off a really bad tennis season. When I went to friends and family for support, they said, "You didn't want it enough." I think that this saying is completely garbage. I really do not understand why somebody would say that. Not just to me, but to other people too. What gives other people the right to say who wants what more? For example, the phrase was used in The Contender. The host, a very famous retired boxer, said the reason a guy won was because he wanted it more. How does he know that? Does he think the other guy DIDN'T want it or somthing. How can there be different levels of "wanting" somthing? I'm just saying you cannot blame someones failure on "not wanting it enough." The fact that somebody is compeating is evidence of their WANTING to succeed. Bad quote.

I have a small group of learning disabilites students (3-6 of them) for Math, Language Arts, and Reading. What are some good ideas I should do to start the school year off? I only want to do this for the first 3 days since we start the Tuesday before Labor Day.

I do have a directive that I have to give several assessments (two reading tests and a math test). I don't want to overload them too much...at least not yet.

Everyone...and that includes every news network...has forgotten that there is a difference between "there's" and "there're" ("There's a pencil on the table." "There're pencils on the table.").

Should I celebrate, or go postal?

I have been on Yahoo! Answers for about a month now, and I have noticed that people are very bad at writing. So this is why I made this self-assessment just for you guys. On a scale of 1-10, rate yourself on how good you are at writing.

At age 47, I am working toward a bachelors degree in information science with a focus on programming. I also have an infant business going and work full time for someone else. My question is this: is it even worth it, at this point in my life, to persue a college degree? Who would hire a 49 year-old programmer fresh out of college? I have over 20 years in the IT industry, mainly on the hardware side. I am also actively growing a business in robotics and internet properties development.

I am finding myself with too much to do and very little time to do it in. Should I focus on the business or the education? Which one has more potential (at my age) for financial gain? I loathe working for other people, but may need a college degree to maintain my employability.

The posibilities are endless for me, but I can't go in all directions.

Any worldly bits o' wisdom out there?
