Everyone...and that includes every news network...has forgotten that there is a difference between "there's" and "there're" ("There's a pencil on the table." "There're pencils on the table.").

Should I celebrate, or go postal?

"There're" most certainly is a word; you're just not used to using it. Here's proof:

Victory, Jimmy Page, PuttPutt and Prince Ali-
You've restored my faith in speakers of the American language. Hearing supposedly educated folks say things like "There's lots of problems with our school systems today." is like listening to someone drag their fingernails across a chalkboard.
Thank you all.
Long live Edwin Newman and Jack Kerouac.

You are not the last one in America. I don't know how many times I have found myself bogged down reading the newspaper because I am correcting all of the grammatical and spelling errors in it.

I wasn't aware of "There're" I always thought it was "There are". There is no reason to abbreviate the word "are". I dont' think it sounds right.

Both. Since you're the last person here, party like there is no police, and when you get out in 10 years, tell me how it went.
