I believe I enjoyed the 9th grade the best. Honestly, it was the worse year in all of my life. Along with 20 other black students, we integrated a predominately white school at the urgings of the Civil Rights movement. I have never experienced or known such hatred, pain, disappointment, or confusion. As I was going "through" the process, it hurt deeply however; as I look back - an adult with my share of pain, disappointment and confusion, I can now see the bigger and brighter picture. What does not kill you, makes you stronger. I believe for the testimony I can now give, I became firm, rooted, grounded and strong. I learned that there are those who hate you, but they don't win unless you hate them.

I liked my junior year at University. By then, I had learned enough to really work the system (I wrote a book that year, and by submitting it as an Independent Study, not only got paid by the publisher, but got 3 credit hours from my school).

Dear, it's WHICH - not "witch." Goodness, I hope you aren't any higher than the second grade still because you didn't learn much in school!

I liked Sophomore year because I knew a lot of people then, way more than I already knew. Also, because then I knew ALL the tricks in the book and how to deal with certain teachers.
