I am a sophomore, and I filled out the fafsa. However, my award letter this year was really poor, so I am looking for a cheaper college to go to, one that I can afford to pay out of pocket (I already have a insane amount of private loans).

In my fafsa I only chose to send the results to my current college; can I submit those results to another college now?

Please do not advise me on how to find scholarships, or tell me to work full time -- I already do, but it's still not enough.

Thank you for any information you may have,

~ Yumi

I was just wondering what exactly are the clear-cut differences and privileges of assistant and associate professors, as well as full professors. What level of education do they each have to achieve to be named these titles?

also if you know people that have gone there you can contribute as well. How is the social atmosphere at Xavier. What is it's reputation like? Are the classes and teachers cool? I'm nervous as ****, but yet I am excited to go to college. Is college really how it's portrayed in the movies or is that all overrated. Also what is the Cincinnati area like, is it dangerous etc., names of fun places to hang out or go? I'm coming from relatively far away, and I know absolutely no one.

And if Spouses do cheat will they do it multiple times. Anyone here keeping secrets from their partners about cheating. I think cheating is just so wrong on every level. I would never think about doing it, yet I hear so many stories about like a guy's best friend sleeping with his wife, and stuff like that. I t blows my mind.

I have read a few questions/ answers that blame teachers' unions. The answer to solving America's problem with our educational system is much more complicated. While some of the actions of teachers' unions are too blame, without them, teacher's pay would be too low.

1. Tenure - It is almost impossible to get rid of bad teachers and what could be very good teachers become complacent and stubborn if they know they have total job security. Also merit based incentives for teachers seem to be a good idea.

2. Parental/ Society Accountability - School districts are being held accountable for not being able to teach kids that do not want to learn and parents that are not in a position to help.

3. Stigma against vocational programs - sometimes kids are right when they say they will never use what they are being taught in high school. Let's begin career preparations earlier in life, and design education programs to be more career focused.

What do you think???

Will it change in a year, 5 years, 20 years. Anyone have experience with this. All my 5 closest friends are going to different places, some near home, others relatively far away, and I'm going the furtherest, although still it's not too far (not like east coast to west coast). I realize that I'll make new friends at college, but will these high school relationships that are very strong now, last over time?
