I did!

My mom works at my university so I got free tuition. I got really good grades in high school so I got a scholarship from my elementary school PTA fund. Then I qualified for a scholarship competition at my university where I was awarded with a minimum of $1800 a year. which helped to pay for my parking, books, computer, etc. I filled out the FASFA and also received a small amount of money from the government to fill in any gaps. Basically, I am being paid to go to school.

Most universities don't award free tuition to its employee's children, but if you get really good grades in high school, you can easily get a lot of money. Most major and public universities award a ton of scholarship money to attract more students. Join a few reputable clubs and try to take on a leadership role. If you are active on campus, they will be more likely to award you with scholarships, even if you don't have the best grades. Or join a varsity sport. They usually give lots of scholarship money to the athletes.

Fill out a FAFSA on the web to check your EFC (estimated family contribution). If you are an independant student then it goes by your income. if you have not attended college in the past then i would reccomend starting at a community college, its cheaper, easier, the classes are free if your EFC is 0, and the credits count toward your university degree. If you are over 24 and have children then you can really goto school for free, heck you can get enough grants and loans to pay your rent every month in addition to your school costs, its really very easy. Fill out your FAFSA and go down to the local community college, youll be started in notime at all. (BEWARE of fake FAFSA websites trying to trick you....the real one has .gov in the adress) Scholarships are competetive awards available to students, if your not in schhol then you dont have to worry about that quite yet, but read up on it because after a semester or two in school youll be elegible (competetive as long as you get decent grades) to apply for scholarships. hit me up if you have anymore questions, my wife and I are both going thru college at the same time with a child for the last two years and financially were doing as good as can be expected for neither of us working the whole time, the system takes getting used to but once you figure it out youll be good to go

If u are poor & have a poor family, u cant get a 'grant' from the gov't to help pay for school. This grant may or may not cover all costs

All u need to do is fill out a FAFSA

NO,it is not impossible, but it does take HARD WORK.

You need to fill out applications for everytype of scholarship you apply for. Check your school , your community, workplaces in your community, professional societies associated with your major, etc. There are a lot of places out there, but you must apply.
