and would spider manb be considerd a vigilante? and if being a vigilante is illegale wouldn't they have 2 turn themselves in?

If you are taking the matters farther than reporting them to the police then yes it is illegal! That is unless you are part of a vigilance committee! If that is the case, I am uncertain if it legalized or not :) As far as turning yourself in, i would say no unless you committed a heinous crime yourself or caused one to happen... like murder :0)

By definition, yes, vigilantes (those who take the law into their own hands) are illegal. Are superheroes vigilantes and therefore operating outisde the law? Perry White obviously thought Spiderman was. I don't recall any of the other superheroes having Spidey's PR problems. I guess I always thought of them as "special law officers".

it depends... are you actually fighting the crime yourself? if not, then you are not a vigilante. if you are just reporting for the police, then you are not a vigilante.
