I work as a server at a fine dining restaurant.Today a couple of my coworkers (both have worked together before and are friends) decided to share with me how they have taken revenge on rude customers and practical 'jokes'.They told horrenduous stories of spitting in food, dropping food on the floor and serving it on purpose, drinking out of customers glasses and then watching at a distance and laughing as the customer drank unknowingly, and even putting gum under pepperoni on pizza before it was cooked. I said for them to stop telling me, because I was sickened by the fact that they thought this was funny. They then said, 'no, you don't understand! They deserved it!' I said no one deserves that. They continued trying to convince me. I said I don't care how rude someone is, no one deserves that. I was so disgusted especially to be working with servers who think this behaviour is appropriate.Worse, now I am afraid they may do something to my drinks or food. What do u think i should do?

This is NOT the Seattle World's Fair Food Circus! :-)

I've seen a blurry postcard from that time that reads as follows:

"Food Circus - Just east of Sears & Hales
Arden Fair Shopping Center, Sacramento, California.
16 restaurants and food shops serving everything from hamburgers to hot dogs to gourmet dinners. Come to look, you'll stay to eat.
Eat like an elephant for peanuts."

Some of the names I think I know (but I could be wrong!):

La Plaza
Die Rheinlander
Hof Bauer
Jumbo Coffee
See's Candies
Carnation Ice Cream
Snook's Country Candies
Frank Fat's

Anyone know more, or all, of the original 16?

I'll be in the Boston area tomorrow and I was wondering what restaurants people would recommend from experience. I am aware of the restaurant Web sites, but I wanted to see what everyone here thought.

Fire and Ice is my first choice, would anyone agree?

but it's not on their website yet. ( i checked!)

I need to know the caloric info for the seafood stuff they have. I'm pretty sure it's just a light mayo with imitation crab or something.

I will be there in 2 weeks and would like to take my friends somewhere nice for dinner in the greater Phoenix area. Ideally, I would like something with at least some southwestern meals, but otherwise something in the new American category. I am looking for something upscale and with entrees between $20-40. Also, looking to stay away from anything that is strictly steak or seafood.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_Selects

i read wikipedia but sometimes they show items that are for other countries that aren't available in the US.

i'm just asking, can you choose Spicy Buffalo sauce for Chicken Selects in the US, Minnesota? Or are there only BBQ, Ranch, and Honey Mustard in the US, Minnesota?

Also there are 3, 5 and 10 piece chicken selects. is it possible to say you want to buy 2 orders of 3 piece chicken selects? and they'll give you two seperate boxes right? ('cuz yeah Mcdonald's Monopolly!)

What would be the apprioate tip at a restaurant that has complimentary valet parking. These guys work only on tips. The entrees at the restaurant are between 20-30$. Also if you dont valet then you have to pay 5$ to use the parking lot/garage. $1?, $5?, $10$?

I went into McDonalds today and ordered fries and some McNuggets, and asked for a cup of water. They used to always give me cups but they said they don't give cups anymore. I'm not much of a soda drinker, and their juice isn't really juice either, so I drink water, and was not willing to spend a buck for a cup of water. Are they allowed to do that (in the state of Virginia)?

I am not talking about subway! I am talking about McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's. Leave subway out of your answer.

Which fast food restaurant is the least bad for you?

(such as the least fatty, the less likely to give you cancer, the one that has less chemicals, etc.)

oh.... and which one has had the least amount of idiots spitting in your food, throwing your burgers on the floor, etc (if anyone knows)
