What would be the apprioate tip at a restaurant that has complimentary valet parking. These guys work only on tips. The entrees at the restaurant are between 20-30$. Also if you dont valet then you have to pay 5$ to use the parking lot/garage. $1?, $5?, $10$?

I've always tipped $5.00 - $10.00 for valet drivers at classy restaurants.

I'd tip $2 or $3. But only after I get my car back in the same condition as when I gave my valet key to them.

if the garage is 5, then the tip should be 5 at the very most. they will park it on a street somewhere. and be sure to lock everything in the trunk, and only give the crook the valet parking key. most of the time valet parking is simple extortion. I have stopped going to venues that require me to pay for the privilege of entering, such as cover charges and forced valet parking
