Dining Out - June 2006

My boyfriend and I would like to go to a nice sort of fancy restaraunt in the city, but do not want to spend too much. Any suggestions?? we're lookin to spend no more than $25-30 a plate. HELP PLEASE!!!! :)

I've gone to Fast Food Restaurants a lot over the years and I am finally just perplexed. Every time it rains (sometimes hard) I pull up in the drive through window and get soaked. And, half the time I get someone who says, "please wait a minute", while I have my window down in the rain.

Now, I know there must be some kind of logic behind the reason but wouldn't it just make sense to put a roof over the intercom area so people don't get wet when they are trying to order food.

Do you think that a service where you can order any kind of fast food, like Hamburgers, pizza, taco etc.. from known brands Burger King, Pizza Hut etc.. all in an internet site, would work? Making possible to make one order with different products, all delivered to your house at the same time.

It is a family resturant and one of only two in existence. (Both in Houston, TX). They have the most wonderful Empanadas. They also make a ranch and cillantro dip that is heaven on earth. I keep begging them to come to my area but so far, they haven't.

Recently I went to Baskin Robbins and asked the employee which is the most sour ice-cream they had. The employee gave me a strange look and was confused. I'd like to throw a party in the next month or so for someone special. Does anyone know of some nice banquet halls or restaurants in the Southern California area (primarily North Orange County - Anaheim, Buena Park, La Habra, etc. / South East Los Angeles County - Whittier, Cerritos, Norwalk, Bellflower, Long Beach, etc.) with accomodations of about 150 people that they would recommend?
