I've gone to Fast Food Restaurants a lot over the years and I am finally just perplexed. Every time it rains (sometimes hard) I pull up in the drive through window and get soaked. And, half the time I get someone who says, "please wait a minute", while I have my window down in the rain.
Now, I know there must be some kind of logic behind the reason but wouldn't it just make sense to put a roof over the intercom area so people don't get wet when they are trying to order food.

It's probably a pretty low cost option if it could improve sales. I am sure someone could design a solution that would be durable, cost effective and meet the height requirements of any vehicle (the payment window often has a cover)..
