seriously ...the trend is for many people to eat Healthy now ! So just order what is in your diet plan ...no one needs to know or will ask you any questions about it . I always drink water ...not because I am on a diet but because I don't like pop/sodas their too sygary and make me feel ill ...no waiter has ever questioned me when everone else at the table are ordering drinks .I love salads and do always order them all the time ....no one blinks an eye at me for that...but if you really need an excuse just say your really not that hungry and you'll just take something light

If you know the restaurant that you are going to ahead of time look up the menu. See what fits with in your diet needs and order those. If anyone ask just say that you enjoyed those items the last time you were there. My mother is on WW and uses the point system so she has this little chart to calculate every food item. In stead of doing the point count at the restaurant she does it ahead of time!

Just be yourself and order what you want.. They don't have to know you are on a diet.. For example: You just order a salad.. I am sure they will not ask why you are ordering a salad.. Just simply tell them that you are in the mood for a salad.. You can also tell them that you want to eat healthy...

by "everyone"....

do you mean the waitstaff? They don't care if you're on a diet.

if you mean the people you're dining with - just order simple things that arent' fried or have a bunch of sauce on them and then don't eat all of it. The portions in most restaurants are huge. Some people just can't finish what is put in front of them. If somebody asks why you didn't finish, just say you weren't THAT hungry.

Avoid ordering things that say they have cheese or a cream sauce. You could also stick to chicken. Or, avoid traditional German foods (ie schnitzel), heavy pastas, big steaks, and reastaurants where you will be hungry again later or where you will unconciously eat more (ie Chinese buffet). Mexican food tends to be fatty too. Indian and Korean foods seem to be less fatty and proportioned so that no one is expected to finnish the meal, so not eating all the food won't cause offense.

There is no need to give excuses for ordering your food prepared any way you want. Waiters/Waitresses have heard it all. They are used to specialized ordering. Enjoy!

They will only know if you tell. Just watch the type of food that you order and you are not compelled to eat it all.
