I have a 60" Sony WEGA rear projection HDTV. It only accepts 1080i and it irritates me. Its 1080p counterpart cost twice as much and thats its only difference. I know there is someway to open it, remove some parts, and install others so it accepts the 1080p signal. I feel so behind in technology even though this tv is new.

I am moving to India from the US and would like to take my big screen TV's along. But, as I understand it, the TV being NTSC, it would not work in India, where PAL is the standard. I believe there is some converter product you can use for this, but dont know what it is. Any info about this will be much appreciated.

The cable cord to screw into the back of my tv is too short to reach, so i was wondering whether there are extension cords to fit the cable and then to connect to the tv. The cable is the circle with the tiny metal rod sticking out in the middle. Any clue?

I'm an impatient person. I really want a new LCD HDTV now! But I'm guessing that if I just wait until late next month for the famous day after thanksgiving sales, I'll be able to save a couple hundred bucks. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE??
