I found good deals on two unknown brands (I had never heard of them...) Olevia and Astar. Has anyone ever heard of it? Are they good quality?

Also look into forums, especially the AVS forum http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/

I have heard of Olevia, with generally favorable comments. Never heard of Astar

www.bizrate.com will show you what different sites charge for the same product. To compare the quality, however, takes careful reading of the specifications for each product. It is sometimes hard to find the specifications, but you can start by left clicking on an item (or its picture) at a web site. The first screen you get usually shows you what is included in the package --- with an option to read the speficiations.

Try the following sites. They rate all types of products and services and warn against inferior quality and bogus claims.

www.consumerreports.org or www.ripoffreport.com
