I'm sure someone out there knows the answer to my question. I wanted to know if I have to keep all of my CDs on my computer that I had put onto my ipod? When I try to delete them from my computer after they were already placed on my ipod I'm told that it will also delete from the ipod. Do I have to keep all of CDs on my computer to keep them on my ipod? It seems a bit excessive. I don't have enough storage. Can somebody please help me!!!!

I bought a 3rd generation ipod nano about a month ago and its been working fine till yesterday. I bought a monster fm transmitter to listen to songs in my car and when i brought the ipod back inside to upload some new songs on to it, my computer wouldn't recognize the ipod. A little box appears saying that the usb device is not recognized and when i click it, it says that the port being used has an unknown device attached. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!!!

All my music CDs play on my old computer, but many skip or don't play at all on my newest computer (3 yo). Also, when I burn music CDs (using CD-RWs), they don't play on the 15 yo Sony stereo in my livingroom, or my old computer's CD player, but everything will play using my CD/DVD player hooked up to my TV?

Also wondering where you could find a record player.
This is all preferably 78's.
And if there are any chain stores that sell records for cheap.

I've just ordered my 1st ipod so this is all new to me
1) Do I have to use itunes or are there other ways of moving music from CDs to the ipod or from the ipod to a PC?
2) Am I restricted to only downloading to my ipod from 1 PC?
3) What format should I use to get the best sounding music on the ipod?

Well...my iPod is acting up a bit for a couple of months now. I would charge it and would take it off the hook when it is fully charged. I would then listen to it and turn it off when I'm done. Then the next day I would turn it on again and it would say "Out of Batteries". Can someone tell me what exactly is wrong and what I can do to prevent this from happening in the future?

Hey Guys,

My ipod nano 1st gen is in very good condition but for some reason the lock sticks and i cannot listen to music, or change menus etc. I have tried all the tips like holding menu and select button etc but nothing works. Could it be something internal. What can i do to fix it?

Thanks,

My daughter is 17 and is very interested in possibly going to school for music producing. She and her friends have their own band and want to record and mix their own music. I thought this would be a good chance for her to try some of her own mixing and producing but I don’t really know much about it. I was hoping someone can give me some ideas of some inexpensive equipment I can buy her for Christmas to get her started?
Any Ideas??

My two teens are asking for "ipods" for christmas. I went shopping yesterday, and wound up buying two Zunes, due to information from the salesperson that Ipods must go thru Itunes, even to copy a song from your computer to the Ipod. He mentioned that Microsoft Zune can download songs from Limewire, rip songs right from your computer files. that it was less complicated to use than the Ipod. I'm debating whether to exchange the Zunes for Ipods (same exact price). I'm new to the MP3 game. Which one do you think is better for a 15 year old? Also, I've heard that many computer viruses have been transferred thru LimeWire. I'm aware that it's a file sharing program. Will my antivirus software protect my computer from virus associated with LimeWire downloads? Thanks for any advice for this MP3 newbie.

Okay, my first iPod is my iPod mini, and it is connected to one of my apple accounts, and it is linked to the CANADA store.

Now, I'm getting the new iPod touch, but I want to buy TV shows, and stuff for my iPod.. and the US store provides WAY more TV shows than the Canada store does.

So my question is this;
If I make a new account, and even though I'm not living in the US, my dad has a US credit card (and yes, it works and is valid) can I put on my account that I live in the US, therefore getting access to the store?

And this is really important; I don't live in Canada anymore, but my sister is brining me 2, 100$ iTunes cards. Will these cards (that are bought in Canada) work with the US store, or just the Canada store?

THANKYOU, so much!
best answer will be chosen=]

Ok, here goes. It's my birthday today. I got money, and I decided to buy a Zune. I got home, got it out, and downloaded the software. It doesn't work. All theparts are still together and it looks brand new. It has some finger print marks on it and you can sort of tell that it's been opened. Do you think the store will take it back, as long as I don't tell them that I opened it? I hate to lie, but I say that if they sell me a crappy product and I spend 6 hours trying to get it work, then they owe me!
