Okay, my first iPod is my iPod mini, and it is connected to one of my apple accounts, and it is linked to the CANADA store.

Now, I'm getting the new iPod touch, but I want to buy TV shows, and stuff for my iPod.. and the US store provides WAY more TV shows than the Canada store does.

So my question is this;
If I make a new account, and even though I'm not living in the US, my dad has a US credit card (and yes, it works and is valid) can I put on my account that I live in the US, therefore getting access to the store?

And this is really important; I don't live in Canada anymore, but my sister is brining me 2, 100$ iTunes cards. Will these cards (that are bought in Canada) work with the US store, or just the Canada store?

THANKYOU, so much!

To change the country for your account, go to "store > view my account" in iTunes. Pull down the "store" menu option.

In your account information is a button you can push called change my country.

My recommendation is that you get your Dad to set up an allowance in the iTunes store for you. Then I don't believe it will matter where the payment comes from - if your account is set of the US, then value of the funds will be converted from thier source (Canadian currency for example)_into US dollars in your account. I would advise against using a non-US credit card for this because the credit card company will charge an exchange fee.

Regarding the gift card, I suspect the same applies - if your account is US, there will be an exchange rate applied to the value of your Canadian sourced iTunes gift card.

If your close to an Apple store, I'd go in and ask the folks at the genius bar to be sure, or call the Apple support line. If your iPod is new, it's under warranty so the call is free.
