Hey Guys,

My ipod nano 1st gen is in very good condition but for some reason the lock sticks and i cannot listen to music, or change menus etc. I have tried all the tips like holding menu and select button etc but nothing works. Could it be something internal. What can i do to fix it?

Thanks,
Haz

Sorry to say this ,but you might have to send it in to apple or take it to your local apple store

I had a similar problem. My hold didn't get stuck I just couldn't pick my music, my ipod nano would just play whatever and I couldn't access my menus. It was also 1st gen in very very good condition, I had to take mine back to Best Buy and they upgraded me. I believe the problem is internal, I am not sure if they can fix it. I hope you can take it back to where you got it from and they can help.

You can try to spray it with a little bit of wd 40, it like looses up rusty things, so I would recomend that but I would ask someone at the store though cause you dont want the liquid to get inside your ipod

If you are talking about the same thing that happened to my Ipod, then this might help. Nothing was working with my Ipod, it was pretty much frozen. So I just charged it and then it started working again. If that doesnt work, then you might have to get it checked out.
