Music & Music Players - December 2006

A number of the songs I've burned from my computer to cds include "burping" or "hiccupping" sounding disortions in the music. I try to burn at the slowest speed possible. The original audio or mp3 file is usually ok to begin with.

Can anyone tell me what causes this disortion and how I can fix or avoid this problem?

Right, i have a 2GB iPod nano. Evertime i connect the iPod it says (do not disconnect) for ages, and i leve it and it just does not stop, so i have to eject it using iTunes. I cant do anything with it if it does not stop saying this message. What can i do ? Please Help Me!

when i plug my shuffle into the computer, there is no reaction... the songs are still playing, but there is no way to charge it or upload new songs.. i've tried to talk to a technician but they don't really.. one of them told me... "come on... just dump it, its just the old shuffle"... can annyone help me

My earphones are so uncomfortable and don't want to stay in place. I am currently using a regular headphone set that came with my portable cd player, but would rather have the small ear pods. Any suggestions. Thanks

Trying to convert the song format from which i download a song off the net, and then it needs to be converted to burn to disk or put onto portable devise (i.e iPod). Ive tried, RECORD NOW, iTunes, and Windows Media Player. Im not sure if my programs may have issues or my computer, or is this normal?

Would it be possible, if you know how to run through what to do, that would be very appreciated.

Hiya,

Recently i downloaded the newer version of iTunes. After i did this i dont have the songs that i have on my iPod in my libary, and now everytime i add a song to the libary it doesnt automatically update an i cant find how to do so (even if i dd, wouldnt this delete all the songs on my iPod and just update to the ones in the libary). Im not sure what has gone on with this, quite hard to explain actually- and also everytime i connect my iPod with my computer via the cable it says DO NOT DISCONNECT for ages so i eject it with iTunes. Any help would be appreciated, if nothing works i think i will e-mail Apple and see if they know what to do!

*I have a Windows XP computer

What I'm looking for is basically an MP3 player with a Hard drive that can be used as a HiFi. I know you can get a lot of add ons for the Ipod including speakers etc but I'd really like a standalone unit perhaps a seperate that I can plug into an Amp or perhaps it comes complete as a HiFi unit. I know the likes of PC World have a Hard Drive type media device that you can plug into the TV and it will play MP3's and DVD's etc but this isnt quite what I'm after. Anyone got any ideas?
