if i should get an ipod wich should i get? wich is the best kind and the worst?

I've just found out that Apple Store in the UK also sells refurbished iPod Nano. Apple defines 'refurbished products' as "pre-owned Apple products that undergo Apple's stringent refurbishment process prior to being offered for sale."

What do you think? Is it a good idea to buy this iPod?

There are so many alternatives to iPods, alternatives that don't require software like iTunes and an iPod driver. MP3 and MP4 players you just plug in and drag and drop the files onto, or use a media player to do it.. Other brands of MP3 players are also a lot cheaper and look so much better. Why does no-one check? They don't check other MP3 players because they're not bothered..and then they have to use the slightly complicated software. Some people won't say it is complicated but compared to copying a file.. it is.

I went to turn my iPod on (Nano) and it had like a safe mode kinda screen on. I went to try and turn it off or something and it came up to a blank screen with a white line under it and like all these letters all over it like 'r's and 'l's. I plugged it into my computer and nothing has happened. iTunes has not come up or anything. Any help on what to do please?

See my computer is not in perfect conditions right now so I want to fix it first before i can download anything to the ipod. can someone that has an ipod can tell me if i can buy a portable fm tuner so that I adapt to the ipod. I know that they are some for the cars i want the adapter for work.

I would like a set of decks, but Ive got no knowledge of them at all (its just something ive always wanted to do) obviously i will need a beginner set and I dont know want to spend over £300. Were could I learn to use them and were would I get them. Also what is direct drive and belt drive. Do I need a hifi to connect them (if so what kind). How do I get the music ive done on to cd? I would prefer vinyls but what is the difference between vinyl and cd turntbales?

K, Im pretty high tech. I got a Razr cell phone, know a ton about computers, have a small LCD tv but would buy a plasma if I had money, and I love gadgets. However, I haven't embraced the MP3 player or the iPod. Personally I find it awkward and I prefer my Discman. Are there any of you guys like me?

I want to tell y computer to load a totally random selection of music onto my nano. I've curretnly got aboput 10gb on the computer, and listen to odds and ends throughout the day. If I tell it to do a party shuffle it only loads 100 songs, and if I ask it to create a playlist it always chooses the same stuff. With my walkman phone the software woudl create a random selection every time, but then I drove a tractor over it which wasn't clever.

i need a way to get them on there. i ahve lime wire. i have some movies from there that i'd like to get on. i hear u need a converter. someone said videora. nope nope nope. that dosnt work i need something else and it has to be free. im not willing to pay like 30 bucks for something that might not even work. so i could really use some help. and if possible i'd love ur answers to have a step by step thing. not the greatest with computers. :)
