It depends on alot of things!
How many songs would you want to put on? Do you want to play videos on it?

The new IPOD SHUFFLE
1GB, Holds 240 songs, £55 ($79), small, silver

2nd generation IPOD NANO
2GB, Holds 500 songs, £99 ($149), sleek, silver
4GB, Holds 1000 songs, £129 ($199), sleek, avalible in Silver, Pink, Blue, Green, and a new red one (some money goes to aids)
8GB, Holds 2000 songs, £169 ($249), sleek , black, and now red (some money goes to aids)

new IPOD VIDEO
30GB, Holds 7500 songs, £189 ($249), lightweight, black or white
80GB, Holds 20000 songs, £259 ($349), lightweight, black or white

The ipod video plays videos, and the video and nano both show photos.
ps. I have the blue 4gb nano and my sister has the red 4gb one. Mines great! I love it!
Hope this helps :)

I think you should spend a hell of a lot less by getting a regular mp3 player and work you way up. I paid $30 for my RCA and it plays eight hours of music. Every day I put new things on and it has a voice recorder too. I couldn't be happier. besides, I'd feel pretty pissed if I missplaced my tiny, 20 GB $300 Ipod nano. I'd shrug if I lost this one.

You should get a regular mp3 player. I have one and it's just the same. Apple just named theirs ipod. Just do your homework. I have a Sony.

I actually love my IPOD more than I thought I would. I have a mini and it suites me fine. I don't recommend the shuffle b/c it has no screen and it just randomly plays songs.

iPod is great, but Microsoft's new Zune looks like stiff competition
