See my computer is not in perfect conditions right now so I want to fix it first before i can download anything to the ipod. can someone that has an ipod can tell me if i can buy a portable fm tuner so that I adapt to the ipod. I know that they are some for the cars i want the adapter for work.

Yes you can, it's called the Ipod radio remote.They should sell it wherever Ipod's are sold.Its a wired fm tuner that comes included with it's own set of earphones and it's compatible with the Ipod nano.

I have an ipod nano and i know you can buy a tuner for it from apple. This will turn the ipod into a basic radio.

You should just get another type of MP3 player, iPods are so limited and there are cheaper MP3 players out there that don't need as much software installed to use it. Some MP3 players such as Creative Zen MP3 players usually come with a radio in-built.
