Anyone with a old Aiwa hifi, notice that the CD jumps...?
(the cure for that is to turn power off, remove the lid and clean the Laser lens with a cotton bud and tape head cleaner fluid....)
Is this a common fault.?

It seems that you cannot use more than one iPod on iTunes on a Window base conputer unless you have a Mac.

I want to listen to some cds from my local library. I’ve saved them onto my PC. I’ve just bought an MP3 player so I can transfer them from my PC on to the MP3. Now, I’ve never owned or used an MP3 before so I don’t know how to do this.

The MP3 came in a box with just 3 other items: a battery, a pair of headphones on a lead, and something that looks like an extension cable.

The extension cable doesn’t fit into the MP3.
The headphones do.
There’s still a spare rectangular hole at the end of the MP3 when the headphones are in.

Obviously I don’t know what the hell I’m doing here…how do I use an MP3?

Do I need to buy something else to go in the end of it?

Hopefully over the weekend I’ll be able to find a neighbour to help me but in the meantime…HELP!!!

And yes the instructions are useless!

Thanks…

Ok, basically, I got a free audio CD from a magazine and they made a cheap little paper cover to hold it in. I lost it a while back and I found it yesterday. It was stuck in the sleeve and I was finally able to get it out. Unfortuneately, some of the glue from the paper got on the CD. I can play all the songs except for the last one now.

Is there a way that I might be able to get the glue off without further damaging the disk or is it a lost cause?

Here's my situation:

I want to put the music from my CDs onto my iPod...but I don't want to import the music onto my computer first. Is there a way to convert the music straight from CD's to my iPod?

If there's a free way...I'd prefer that.

Thanks in advance!

I would love input before I buy. My CD player in my car stereo is shot, and rather than fix it or replace it, I'd like to use an MP3 player with an FM transmitter. I already have a good library of MP3 files and along with this I would be using WMA files, from CDs of mine I've copied onto my computer. I am not interested in video playback options. I am looking at 1-2 GB players. I'm just not sure if an iPod is the way to go. They're a bit more expensive.

I have a huge music library, along with tons of playlists. Can I move them from iTunes (on Windows) to amaroK (on Ubuntu)? It would be a huge pain to make all of them all over again.
