Well here we go:

iPod Shuffle

If money is not an issue at all here, don't even think about buying a shuffle. The shuffle is simply a usb device that you can stick your head-phones into, you can never look at the song thats playing, and you never get to select the song you want, so unless your on a tight budjet that one is out of the question. If your on a tight budget, and you have your mind set on an iPod then this is the one, but there are much better mp3 players out there for the same cost.

iPod Mini and iPod

I believe that Apple does not sell either of these anymore, so I wouldn't even consider either one unless your buying it used, but I would not recomend buying a used iPod because of thier batteries. You cannot change an iPod battery on your own, you need to send it to apple to get it replaced, and that costs almost as much as a new iPod itself. You see the iPod battery lasts less and less each time you use it, so after a while you might only get 20 minutes from the iPod, but this shouldn't be a reason to buy a new iPod because they are obviously not a long term investment and you will want to replace the technology before the battery dies if you do buy a new one. They should last at least two years, but it all depends on how much you use them.

iPod Nano

This is a really cool nifty device, it is thinner than a pencil! It's quite amazing really, right now you can get it in the 2Gb and the 4Gb I am not sure if the 1Gb is still available but I doubt it seeing as the 8Gb is going to be coming out within a year. So the 4Gb would come down in price if you want to hold out on buying it. You don't have any videos, so there is no downside to getting this one that way, it is a colour display, thats also good, that means you can have your album covers. I am not sure if it supports photos but I am guessing it does because it does show album artwork. This is also cheaper than the Video.
You also don't have a lot of songs so the 2Gb holds a decent 500 for you that you would have a hard time fllling up. The 4 Gb holds 1000 songs. I don't know though you sound like a little braty 11 year old who might lose something this small. ;) lol.

iPod Video

As of right now this is the Cadalac of the iPods, the top of the line. This is the one that I have, I love it, and have never had any problems with it. It has a bigger display than the nano which I like, so its easier to find songs, it has almost every feature imaginable, and you don't use it to exercise so there is no real reason to go with something smaller. When you get a bit older you might learn how to rip DVD's onto your computer and convert them into iPod formatt using applications like Videoera. Right now you can get the 30 Gb and the 60 Gb, I would only suggest getting the 60 Gb if you have a lot of movies and photos, because its almost impossible to fill up the 30 with just audio unless you listen to every type of music possible lol.

So the way I see it you have a choice between the nano and the video, and for you the choice sounds like it would be purely cosmetic, because you will never use either to their full capabilities. The nano is cheaper if you can't decide.

I hope this helped.

I like the Ipod video, waiting around gives me the choice of music or a favorite show to watch.

DON'T go for the iPod(too big) or the iPod shuffle (doesn't have a screen)
I'd go for the nano

this should do the trick and alot cheaper than ipod. ipods are not as good as there made out to be. battery replacement means after 18 months you have to send it in and there's no garantee that all your music will still be on there when they decide to ship it back to you. and the batteries are expensive.
