Here's my situation:

I want to put the music from my CDs onto my iPod...but I don't want to import the music onto my computer first. Is there a way to convert the music straight from CD's to my iPod?

If there's a free way...I'd prefer that.

Thanks in advance!

You haven't made it clear how you are planning to connect your CD player to the iPod. Do you have a CD player that has an IEEE 1394 output connection? That is how you connect to an iPod. If your CD player has this type of output connection, it must also have a user manual that explains how to transfer files thourgh that connection. Otherwise, your back to the computer.

I don't belive so, you'd have to put it on Itunes for it to transfer to the ipod.
