there is a playlist with a blue music note icon next it! I want to erase it, but when i right click on it, my only options are open or disconnect. Is there a way to erase this weird playlist?

Are you on a network? It seems to me that that's the shared playlist of another computer on the same network. iTunes has a feature in which you can make playlists (or your entire music library) visible to and playable on other computers on your network, and evidently that other computer has its iTunes sharing turned on. If you're authorized to play music from that computer, you can browse its playlist and play music from it on your computer (as long as you're connected to the network).

You can disconnect it, but it will show up again when you next run iTunes (if that other computer is still on the network and still running and sharing iTunes)

To disable iTunes searching for shared playlists on the network, go to your iTunes preferences, click on Sharing and disable "Look for shared music." You'll also notice on the same panel your settings for sharing your own music on the network--you can set those to whatever you'd like.
