I own a Panasonic EDTV (Model TH-42PWD7UY). I was wondering if I get an HDMI cable, and a Hi Def DVD converter player; would that make a better picture? I like the way DVDs currently play, but being the picky person I am, i was wondering if this could be an improvement. I'm not thinking about replacing my TV for some time, so i was thinking about ways to get the best out of it.

I have a SONY audio/video surround sound system. One day I was blasting some music and all of the sudden "PROTECT" started flashing. Ever since then it hasn't worked. I opened it up and the one fuse I saw still seemed to be good. What could be the problem?

Any advice would be really great.

And if it helps any, its model number is: str-d565

THANKS

I'am impressed by the new zoombox. It has a built in cd, and dvd player, and you can hook up a game system to it, and it projects up to 60". There is more, it can rotate, so that it could project on the ceiling also. And the price is only $200, at my local electronis store. Who thinks that I should get it!

I want to buy a projector w/ an Xbox 360 I want to buy for this Christmas. I want to get all I can out of the 360, therefore I want a projector that can handle 1080i resolution. I ran accross a few good projectors, but when I look at the specs it says this:

Broadcast Format Displayed: 768p

Broadcast Format Supported: 1080i (HDTV),
480i (SDTV),
480p (EDTV),
720p (HDTV)

Does that mean that the projector can receive 1080i resolution, but it can't handle displaying it?

Any help would be much appreciated

I've had pretty good luck with one. I just bought another one on ebay. It would sometimes make a loud grinding noise when it starts spinning the disk. Sounds like something is off balance or something.

I have a friend who watches a lot of movies. He says Panasonic or Sony dvd players are more reliable.

Does anyone else have the same experience? Thanks.
